Revealed at this Pre-Match interview ahead of last weeks Junior B All Ireland series semi-final, Maura Ryan confirmed that Liam Corbett has been forced to retire from hurling on medical grounds.

Liam was ‘Man of The Match’ in the first round of the series and was sorely missed on the pitch last Saturday.

The club would like to knowledge Liam’s outstanding commitment to Plunketts during his playing career and wish him all the very best for the future.

And congratulations to everyone involved with the Junior B team - a massive achievement to reach the semifinals and a most enjoyable experience for the squad.
